Two months!

Since I joined SR September last year I had a pattern of going some days or weeks without a drink and then relapse, now I'm happy to say my recovery is going pretty well.

I spent my 20s drinking and smoking pot. I am unemploeyed and started college this year at the age of 31, if I don't screw this up I still hope to start a career and have a decent paying job someday. I don't post much but I read the forums everyday. Also I'm 6 months clean from marijuana.

Congratulations on your 2 months sober.
That's a nice start on a life of sobriety.
Your career goals will be attained as long as you don't drink.

I could have went so much further in my career
if
I would not have been married to the liquid devil.

Congratulations on two months! That's great. At 31 you have plenty of time to establish yourself. I started mine 15 years ago at 35.

I am 35 and I am not 4+ months sober I wish you good luck with school and sobriety.

Very nice Bliss, and enjoy your time at school. I'm sure there will be times when your class workload seems overwhelming, but just push through; you will be glad you did.

Thanks for the replies people. I am very grateful.

Day 77 today. Last week I went to the psychiatrist and got really angry and sad, but now I'm better. The reason is that I want to eventually stop taking medication and he wants me to take it forever, so maybe I'll have to find a new Dr. who knows?

Besides that, I'm fine, I should be going to the gym more, eating healthier and going for walks, but videogames are keeping me happy for now :D

Congrats on two months, and on starting on an exciting new journey toward your future. Sounds like lots of good things in the future.

3 months today! :D

Well truth is I've been having some cravings lately, I would
not call them cravings but AV talk. I don't think I should feel guilty or ashamed for those drinking thoughts, as long as I don't act on them there is
no problem.

I'm taking one day at a time and I see that is what works. Some days are better than others.

My plan is to go back to the gym and also go for a walk everyday, I gained a lot of weight due to the medication I'm taking and I really could lose some of it.

SR has helped me a lot. I will try to post more often.
