I'm in! Day 21 here.

Two more days of work and then I head to the beach on Saturday for eight or nine days. Can't wait for this wonderful sober vacation.

I'm late as usual but definitely need to be on the bus this weekend!
The past few days I've been letting myself dwell on thoughts of drinking and I need to stop it!

We are on our way to the arboretum....fingers crossed the rain holds off till tonight! Art and GS.....enjoy getting outside today if you can, this weekend looks messy again! Oh, and on Dallas toll roads.....I've had a toll tag for years thank god since every major road in my part of town is a toll road!!.....just waiting for them to turn Central into one! Ha!

I worked for a wall street back in NYC and they checked every detail. I had to get special approval from a firm partner because of a 1 month gap I had. They were a great place to work. So dotting I's and crossing T's is not a sign of anything but a professional operation.

Good luck with each step M.

Evening Soberistas

Ruby it was a long time ago now but I liked reading Sylvester and the Magic Pebble to my kids.

How did your son get on with his ********** presentation?

I spent a fortune this morning on a shrink wrapped sandwich and a coffee at a motorway service station.By way of contrast I paid £10 for 3 Sea Bass and that included filleting. It's a nuisance that as I live on my own I will have to eat them two days in a row . First World problem I suppose.

Brynn when I get those thoughts I just give myself a quick reminder of how bad it would suck to have to go through that again. Stay strong.

And thanks GS....I've been playing the tape forward and remembering the extreme 3am booze induced anxiety, ugh!

Sorry to hear about your hayfever Mecx. I don't want to freeze these beauties if I can help it. Having them with homemade Salsa Verde and new potatoes as recommended by Jamie Oliver (minus the glass of "crisp white wine" he suggests you drink with it)

LoL how many fish dinners went by the by when i'd drank the wine and just ended up eating doritos or those triangular corn mexican things i can't remember the name of.

Food gets eaten, cooked and frozen now, with alcohol i think sometimes it didn't even make the fridge before it had gone off or was thrown ..

I am going to look for one. I have a feeling the meetings there will be VERY different than the ones I've been going to. I live in a pretty liberal/urban area whereas my folks are in a southern, very conservative/religious/right-wing/military town. Nothing wrong with that of course, and I know from being here on SR and the meetings I've attended so far, we have more in common than we think. Just a random thought....
