Some of the Aussie greats on this entire movie soundtrack - Phil Manning, Mark Kennedy, Taman Shud.....!
Sigh...now I do feel old. Us Catholic schoolgirls got Taman Shud to play our Form 6 final end-of-school ball at one of the tacky old great Sydney hotels; 1973! Cost us 500 bucks, God knows how we got the money together. Heh heh, great times.
For those who don't know this movie and its soundtrack: it encapsulates the essence of the great surfing scene of East Coast Aus in the 70s. Sigh....but Morning of the Earth itself is, well....very feel good.

One more with Terry on lead guitar and vocal. God, I miss him.

Well, in all fairness, you asked for it when you posted a music thread.

Quite, Suki! Bring on the back catalogue of all our days! Or would that be, Open Mic? [No, scrub the latter: too much reality tv for my taste. We want GOOD music :-)]
Here's my next one: had to fiddle about, as ever being obsessive, on YT to find a decent quality version in sound, vid quality and of course, a couple of the earlier band members for another old fart. Nigel Olsson drums and Davey Johnstone, lead git etc. Vale, bassist Dee Murray who died 1992. All with impressive musical cred, which shows on this rather long - 13 mins - version. Lots of jazz club style piano riffs from EJ.

Joe's Mansion/Ranch was below these 2 Peaks, as seen from our W. Colorado House. I took this Pic the day he passed on. A Snooker Partner of Joe's says that Joe walked in one Thursday Evening >10 years ago, and said he had stopped Drinking. Full stop.

And now for something completely different...
I met Carly Simon maybe ten years ago in a Manhattan grocery store about two blocks from where I was living at the time. I said hello, told her how much I liked her work, and then left it at that.
She's had an extremely difficult life and suffers from both social anxiety disorder and extreme stage fright.

If this doesn't make you feel good, nothing will!

Crikey! This thread will soon be rivalling Robby's Ramblers...
Anyway, for you Yanks and especially Nooo Yawkers. New York has always had a special place in my heart, God knows why given I've never yet got there. And if I was in America, I'd not be a Republican, more a Democrat (well, frankly, a democratic socialist, even Ma(&6!ist). But I've always loved this song from my teens, long before the shite of our current world.
