Verte & Ruby, the cucumber melon was delicious. I think it was my favorite of the Vintage brand. So, in this order: Cucumber/melon, coconut, grapefruit. Really, it's hard to go wrong with any of them, of either brand.

I think I remember that New York Seltzer brand, btw.

Enjoying the bus ride, plan on having my seat belt on nice and tight so I don't fall off at any of the stops along the way.

Checking in...starting off day 20 with a coffee and a quiet house. It's a pretty day and the view out back is nice. It is sunny and all of the trees are bright green and the sky is perfectly sky blue.

AllieKat, same here... coffee & and a quiet house. It's amazingly cool here today. Unseasonably cool. Started last night. The temp dropped quickly. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Hello Friday. Must have been something I ate at a Mexican place for lunch yesterday. It was not a good day. Lower back pain from spending most of the day on the couch. Up a few time through the night. Back is killing me but stomach is much better.

Hope you recover soon Nons - from your surgery and also from being mistaken for me.
Since I took the day off yesterday I will be putting in double work today at the compound - if my back can handle it. Hopefully it just goes back into 'normal' sometime today. My sister refers to it as the [family] back.

he family back? Hope you get relief Brain and Non. Non, any wood work projects this year? Once tax season started we didn't hear about Adirondack chairs.

At work, so phase 2 of my day starts. Kids at school. Listening to the news is usually so depressing.

Trach, the hummingbird is light green on his entire back, the topnotch is black, his tummy is greyish - almost like a juvenile coloring. I really think it's some mutation - or I've discovered a new species.

I don't have a good camera, and my point and shoot is never handy when he pops in.

wow - I used to hire a car for drives to the airport... over 300 one way... prices have more than doubled.
the parking garages will end up around 20/day, jfk long term is 18 and if I can figure out how to find the coupon it will be 16/day. Looks like driving and parking will be around 300. you don't wanna know the airfare.
rice and beans for a while I suppose. mrs has job interview before we leave...

I saw that a good hardworking panhandler can clear 60K a year working in the city - tax free of course...

Bim is this your bird?

Good morning fellow travelers!

Weasel....that license plate makes me want to go to Maine!

Hope everyone who's feeling poorly (or puny as my granny would say) feels better very soon!

Y'all, I got one of those coloring books for grown ups and new colored pencils and I was so excited to get started........fast forward ten minutes and I'm sitting here stressed out that I won't do it perfectly! Blah! (They tout this as a way to de-stress ha!). This is ridiculous! Anyway...I'm going to try and push through and get to coloring.....happy sober Friday!!!!
Xoxo

LBrain...could be - couldn't they get a picture with its crown up? Or does it have a crown? *must go research* Edit: okay I just looked. No that's not it...I don't think...doesn't look the same - but thanks! Maybe you could bring the wife and come stay with me and help identify?

I keed.

brynn, I did a few of those coloring mandalas with pencils. I think crayons or Sharpies may be the way to go if I do more. They're fun.

Coloring books! Awesome! I sometimes color with my daughter. I do like it but I'm way too "adult" in my expectations of perfection. Maybe we should scribble once in a while.

Yeah, so that Xantus has a long hooked beak and a white stripe on its cheek. Definitely not the one. Maybe. Definitely.

I'm getting the camera ready.
