I know, brynn. I saw your post about it. I had it for the first time at the street fair last weekend. I made it a week before I bought more.

I have to say, it was much better at the Haagen Daas store than in the little grocery store pint. I am happy about that, though. I probably won't buy it again for a while.

I really need a better coping tool than food. Today was just too - - something.

Meh. This too shall pass. I cried and raged and it's going to be okay. Everything is exactly as it should be.

Feels, I don't like them.

Welcome Kalegrrl, you're just in time - there's no "late" or "early" here, everyone arrives on time. All the women are strong, all the men are good looking, and all the Weekender's posters are above average. I am pouncing on Mex's "Lake Wobegon" reference earlier in the post...as a native Minnesotan I always like to hear the slow, peaceful stories told by Garrison Keiler from his fictional hometown out on the prairie.

No prairie here, just volcanoes, mountains, and plenty of towns with names that sound strange to me. Here's a picture from yesterday's "solo road trip" coming down into the tropical zone. Many towns here have "tenango" as a suffix: Alotenango, Chimaltenango, Momostenango, Huehuetenango, Quetzaltenango, Chichicastenango, etc etc. Mayan for "the place of".

Jennie and Bimini, hugs to you both. That's sad.

Getting to bedtime here. Helped daughter weed through clothes for a rummage sale we're participating in at her school. She's worn 4 and 5Ts forever and suddenly she's growing. A big bag of stuff.

One more day. Yay! I'm going to my parents' house at some point. I'm blessed to have them both. Dad not so healthy but he's here. Need to get out to see my grandfather and I'm lucky to still have one. Time to get kids wrapped up.

Great pic bigsombrero. That's distant mountain reminds me of Kauai and the almost constant clouds lingering the mountaintop. Made for some great waterfalls.

I guess it means "place of parrots" or "parrots' wall" depending on which K'iche language translation you use. I think it's K'iche, anyway....I'm not David Attenborough!

Bimini, glad you found a better way through it. I also don't like feels very much. And there are so many of them these days, always coming out of nowhere!

I'm trying out a new meeting tonight, even though right now is normally bedtime. Looking forward to some ice cream of my own when I get home!

Bimini....today was about choosing the lesser of two evils.....ice cream or booze...and you did good. No beating yourself up over the ice cream....a nice pat on the back is deserved for not indulging in the booze.
And yeah....feels can get pretty ugly but we're learning how to do it. Might be a lot of trial and error....but we're learning.

Kalegrrl you sound awesome! Happy birthday and welcome!

This sculpture is near the University of Chicago and is called The Fountain of Time by sculptor Laredo Taft. It's cool and I have to read about it again because I can't remember if he intentionally carved it from sandstone but it's eroding as time beats upon it. Took this today.

That's really cool, Ruby - genius, really! Chicago has great art in public spaces for everyone to enjoy. Make No Small Plans!

I've got a baby fish! I've got a baby fish! I've been sort of ignoring my swordtails and I turned the light on and saw one tiny fish. I turned the light off again. Last time they had young there were 4. I hope this little one doesn't get eaten. I'm sure there were more but they probably did get eaten.
