At the park down the way from me where I take the dog to do laps there are often a couple of RC plane flyers earlier on Sunday mornings. It is mesmerizing to watch.

Lovely photos Weasel! That looks beautiful!

Happy Sunday morning Sober Enders!!!!

Nothing much planned for the day. I will go down to the garden and give it a good weeding, take the dog with so we can go to the park and do some laps. There is no way I will be able to catch up to Kens steps today but I shall try my best to get my 10k.

Be well people!!!

Weasel, Fort Gorges looks awesome! I had to go research it after you posted that picture. Now I want to go there and explore it.

Wal-Mart sucks. That is all. Totally forgot to color my hair for the wedding till about 15 minutes ago. So much for getting ready leisurely!

Mr Chill I have a 2 meter glider. It's a lot of fun. Need to fix it as a decided I could fly it in high winds. A decision I wouldn't have made sober.
Off to release some crawfish we saved from the pot and put in our fish tank. If you like your fish to have fins don't do this. Get back later.

Going to a wedding this evening. Its amazing how my old plan for that would have involved a hidden 1/2 pint or pint or more to supplement the "responsible" way i would drink in front of the other guests. When your committed to alcohol free you dont have to figure such logistics. Have a great Memorial Day everyone.

MrChill, yeah, it was in the late 70s that I flew that RC plane.

Now I'm into those stunt kites. It's pretty hard to break them.

Those stunt kites are mesmerizing as well. Only seen from afar, I have yet to figure out how they work...they seem like they would get all tangled up.

Gettingsmarter,

2 meter glider is a big bird! And yes, wind is a big pain. I can do it even with my lighter planes but adds too much stress into the mix. When i have to make over 3 approaches just to get it back on the ground I know it's time to pack it up.

Bimini,

I have stunt kites too! Exciting when you want them to be and lazy flyers when you don't. Honestly, I'm a big kid inside. Life is too short to simply "grow up and stop playing". I still play xbox with my younger kids. And get accused of being a hog from time to time...lol

They're words set to Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire.

My version actually works with the original music.

Oh.

Until I can come up with a clever reason for mentioning Walmart twice, the second one should be 'Twitter'.

I have some of those stack ones, and a six foot regular stunt kite. They don't tangle - my big one has Kevlar strings though. They do get twisted - and then it is smart to remember in which direction you just did 47 circles

Good afternoon all,

Manual Labor Day for me today. Taking a break now and jus watched Mesa Man's 'Heroes - we could be video'.

Mesa Man and all. Have you watched the video? On broad strokes, we could be heroes replays over and over while wind rips through the artists hair amidst a backdrop of what appears to be a subterranean juvenile psychiatric facility. Artist and young adult escape and stand on rooftop edge. Young adult male grows angel wings and jumps. One version of adult male flys upward whie another simultaneously falls to what appears to be his death.

Hmmm. We could be heroes ... Is this like an infomercial for life in some strange pop culture way?

Ok. Back to work!
