Just got back from the Doctor

And apparently I didn't tear the ligaments in my thighs as I was told by the ER....

Nope it's much worse. I ruptured the muscles in my quads. Physical Therapy for the next 4-6weeks with new medications on top of what I was already prescribed. Friggen awesome.

On a more positive note, I talked to him about me joining this site, and getting on the road to not drinking anymore. He was very happy about that, offered me support and a few ideas to keep me on track. he asked about my smoking, and I told him that with not drinking I have actually cut back half of what I normally smoke, so in time that too may go away. We talked about the depression and the ideas of talking to a therapist. He says it sounds like I'm off to a good start, and that it sounds like I'm taking this seriously.

Day 5 has a bigger smile. :c014:

Congrats on asking solid advice from doc! I quit smoking around 8 months sober - tried earlier and it was just too much.

I heard once we quit things in the order they'll kill us........made sense I guess.
Thanks for the post
keep coming back!
