Somewhat Alcoholic
Hey there. I've struggled with physical addiction to alcohol in the past (to the point of hospitalization and benzodiazepine prescriptions) as well as opiates, and more stimulants than you can shake a stick at, despite my relatively young age. Lately, while not experiencing physical withdrawal symptoms, I've been reverting back to my old ways in terms of drinking, making it hard to complete my educational, financial and fitness goals. I'm also rather afraid of another hospitalization. I'm more here to quell my thirst for alcohol than anything,

Hi Ben and welcome.
When I first tried to get sober I didn’t know what I didn’t know. Try reading a bunch of posts here and get ideas.
My suggestion is to try to stop drinking now because alcoholism is progressive meaning it will never get better than today if we continue to drink and the sooner we stop the easier it is for many of us.
BE WELL

Putting addictions down and getting to your best, most joyful, truest self at a young age will be a gift beyond your wildest imaginings.
May you step fully into sobriety now and not throw away years or decades as many of us have
