845 days sober
 

Today is 845 days sober for me. I have the life that I hoped for, which eluded me for years...
In fact, it took me 2,500 days of trying and failing before I got here. If you are struggling please don’t give up. You can do this too.

Today I fall asleep easily (when I used to suffer from insomnia)
Today I am happy (when I used to be chronically sad)
Today I actually like myself (after years of self loathing)
Today I have friends who care about me (when I used to feel lonely)
Today I have a great relationship with my family (when I used to be MIA)
Today I share my life with an amazing partner (after 10 years without a date)
Today I am a graduate from my dream school (after dropping out 3 times)
Today I am enjoying 9 months of traveling (because my only activity used to be drinking)
Today I woke up early to indulge in the delight of watching hundreds of hot air balloons launch (when I used to drag myself through the day in pain)
Today I am becoming the person that I know I can be (instead of just hoping).
