Happy Birthday Midnight blue
Belated Happy Birthday Mesa Man

Hope you have those tools insured Mex. Congratulations on the new job

Caught in a downpour at lunchtime. It's been raining in London for 8 straight hours. I wouldn't mind but it's been lovely here all week while I have been stuck in the office. Today I am out and about and got soaked everytime I got out of the car. Curses.

Leshar it is tough sometimes being on your own. I'm trying to rebuild some sort of friendships and social life after ruining it thru drink

I called and asked to have mulch delivered tomorrow. Sorry schedule is full. What about today? In less than an hour I have a big pile of mulch in the driveway. Here's the joke: I put out trash can and barrels at the bottom of driveway so the wife would know not to park in driveway. I'm cooking lunch and I hear door open. Yep, she drove around the blockade into the driveway.
I asked her when they are going to return her brain now that school is over.
Then she said there is nowhere to park - there is room for ten cars within 30 feet... never mind.
I need to make some ice tea and get to work...

Looks like a sell out on opening day here. Should reach 100 posts by 7PM Eastern Standard Time

Solarion seeing your bell makes me want to get one just like it for my Harley. That would be hilarious.

Thanks for the idea.

Is it really already time for another one of these?

I'm in! And this time I plan to actually make it through Sunday successfully! Darn weekends.

And happy birthday MM and Midnight!

saoutchik ,
not sure the insurance companies standpoint on leaving the garage door open for the cat to go in and out would be favourable WRT to tools stored stolen from there ..

You are right though, i really need some decent insurance some of the synthesisers i own run into the £100's of pounds and some might be over £1000 each now as some are so retro they are now back in fashion after being naff when i bought them second hand .

Thanks LB these days stinky-headed-ness still happens but i tend to deal with it and get my head back into a decent place reasonably quickly .. sometimes seeing it wrote up here helps me spot it .

like Ruby and all of you mention i think it's both me and mex-m8 being stressy with moving , acting out ken calls it , house sales , rental paperwork and my job paperwork , i hate paperwork .

I'm also being careful with my pennies as i've not got an income coming in and i don't want to touch invested capital, which means taking tougher decisions than usual .
Things are better this evening had a good read on here , tried to offer what support i could find ..
My problems are really quite trivial and small and are all going in a positive direction .. such great choices to have with the personal empowerment and confidence that i'll be ok, that sobriety gives .

cheers , m

Stop the presses. Time for our Weekly bigsombrero Birdwaching Alert: Just saw this gorgeous Spot-breasted Oriole on a neighbor's evergreen tree while drying out the laundry on the terrace this afternoon. Ran to get my camera and caught him mid-flight. Glorious creature.

You may now return to your regularly scheduled Weekender's Thread.

don't be posting just to pad the numbers Della.

Nice bird BigS, I've been crawling around in the dirt most of the afternoon. Just dumped off a load at the community drop off.
I'll have a lot to keep busy the next few days. I got 3 yds of mulch, probably need 4, only feel like dealing with 2. Mrs Brain will be available for yard work next week. Should be interesting cause she doesn't know it yet, but her asparagus plants are about 2 feet tall. I told her not to plant them there.

Break is over.

I don't pad anything. Don't have to just have nothing of great value to add.

I'm in for a sober weekend. Gotta work on Saturday, but I'm happy because I know that being sober will make me enjoy my one day off (Sunday).
