Back again

I'm thinking about getting back up on that big bad horse again. Wondering if I need to worry about detox. 12 busch light a night for the last 5 months. Any thoughts? Hope everyone is doing well.

welcome back eddie !

I support your desire to stop drinking . I cant really give you any advice on the detox thing , i would suggest you see a doctor ,alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous .In the meantime you might want to think about giving AA a call , it has made all the difference in my recovery . Prayers ^ Trish

Hi Eddie Glad your back.

Hang in there! I know its tough, but well worth it. Get together with a program call AA. I dont know about where your at. But in my area there are people at AA that can assist and work with detox centers. Its not just a meeting room, its an organization to work with those whom choose not to drink. If you need detoxed Im sure theres someone there who can help find somewhere for you to do that. Their primary purpose is to help You! Point is get with some people who understand what it is your going thru. You dont have to do this by yourself.

Many people go thru this and suffer, but theres help out there. Id call your doctor first and be truethful. If you dont have a doctor call an ER. Call AA hotline and again be honest. Honesty mean Seriousness. In this game theres only 1 way to take it if you want sobriety. Were with you here my friend. Just dont drink Today and get the help you need!

Prayers Headed Your Way,
Phil

Welcome back!

I drank just like you, 12 pack a night minimum, more on weekends. Pitiful existence for me. I am on day 5, committed to not drink today. I personally did not need detox, but that's for a Doctor to say. I was a little shaky for a day or 2, and am still very tired, but sleeping better, eating better and back in my program (AA for me).

Keep on keeping on!

Ken
