Work

Work annoys me. I don't like it when I am reading stuff here at SR and work interrupts me.

Have a great day everyone.

Your post made me smile. I spend WAY too much time on SR while I am at work.

But now you have me thinking: Maybe I am spending way too much time working when I should be reading/writing more on SR???

Same here.
Constantly hitting alt-tab
or hitting f11 to hide title/tabs
when someone is behind me.

SR is a key piece of my work day.

I start each work day posting in the 24 commitment thread.

And i *sneak* peeks at SR numerous times throughout the day.

And NO i don't feel guilty about it either!

I quit smoking at about two months of sobriety, so when I feel guilty for reading or posting on SR at work, I think about how I used to leave the office to smoke (once in the morning, and once in the afternoon). Legally those breaks are to be 15 minutes long, but since I was a "secret smoker," I had to actually get in my truck and drive a couple of blocks away, where I huddled next to the vehicle in a parking lot to smoke. So really, those breaks were about 20 minutes long... I figure time spent here for the corresponding 40 minutes a day (collectively through the day) is a far better investment both for myself and my employer.

As a sober person, I am a better employee. I am not handicapped by hangover, am not racing to leave at the end of the day, and am more confident in the information I share and what I keep close. Anything that helps me stay sober and attentive is a boon to my professional life...

NO GUILT for time spent on recovery!!
