A new me
 

Being the screwed up individual I am, I have lived selfishly, only thinking of Jen and Jen's little world. I have acknowledged my mother with a phone call only for Mother's Day for at least four years. Some years not even a phone call. This year I sent her flowers because I wanted to, not because I felt obligated to. I have never heard her so happy and excited. If something happened to my mom, I know my brain, and I would be very guilty for never doing anything for her, no matter how insignificant it seems. The best thank you ever was her saying this..."Jennifer, I'm shocked! You have never done anything like this before. I like you being sober!!" Thank you creator for teaching me the better ways. Thank you so much!

That's terrific!

A reminder that what we don't do when drinking impacts other people in our lives. And what we do when sober makes a difference. I always regret I forgot my dad's 50th birthday.
