its 6:45am and i want to drink....

Why in the hell is my av calling on me at this time of the day/morning. Please I want it to stop.

SoberLeigh 05-10-2015 04:47 AM

You can survive this test, Jeff; you are stronger than your AV - give it h$ll.

Thank you so much, its really bad right now. I am going to post the crap out of me. I have to. This is nuts.

Dee74 05-10-2015 04:50 AM

Just because it calls doesn't mean you have to answer Jeff.
Once you learn that lesson & take it to heart I think things get a lot easier?

It can't force you to take action, you have totally got this. The AV just lies and you will feel so good once you've passed this, it'll get easier each time that you recognise it and stop it in its tracks.

thomas11 05-10-2015 04:52 AM

I don't know Dee, this is crazy. Why do I want drink at 7AM? stupid.

thomas11 05-10-2015 04:53 AM

I'll tell you why, because I worked 50 hours this week and then cooked for my whole family and think I deserve a break.

thomas11 05-10-2015 04:54 AM

I am within a whisker of going down to my shop and just getting drunk. No one there knows anything and I can just escape.

Dee74 05-10-2015 04:55 AM

Then take a break.
Drinking's not a break - not for folks like us Jeff.

Go back and read some of your past threads. Read some of the ones where you've been drinking.

Chalk and cheese, mate.

Ultimately Jeff if you want to stay sober you've got to be prepared to fight for it. If you keep folding, nothing going to change.

Make yourself a big breakfast and read some links

Hungry? Angry? Lonely? Tired?

Have a good breakfast - maybe take your wife out for breakfast - IHOP, breakfast diner?????

Find a park and walk off that breakfast.

Angry - work out a bit.

Take a nap after your walk.

You can do this; I have no doubt.

thomas11 05-10-2015 04:57 AM

Gosh dammit, this is insane. its just poison and I don't need that.

BernieE 05-10-2015 04:58 AM

How about a big filling breakfast? Start with whatever is quick and satisfying and continue from there. Alcohol and a full belly don't go well together. You can't buy any on Sunday in Minnesota, so it won't be easy to get and I would think there's none in the house. Ride it out, you can do this.

Don't believe everything you think.

You want to drink because you're addicted to alcohol. The reasons you can come up with to justify it are just excuses.

You want that AV to go away and leave you alone? STARVE IT. It's the only way.

You can do this. :ring

DrunkenDonuts 05-10-2015 04:59 AM

Get a tub of ice cream and eat it.

You are so right. You don't need it. You don't deserve it. And deep inside, you don't want it, either; don't be fooled by your AV.

thomas11 05-10-2015 05:06 AM

thomas11 05-10-2015 05:09 AM
