New on here: Day 1
I could see it progressing and that's why I want to catch it while I can...I have a lot of family who battled addictions and they never made anything of themselves until they got completely sober. All my immediate family are recovering alcoholics.

Thanks for sharing, Stecar. I think my real struggle is 'sticking to it'. I have fantasies that someday I will be able to be a 'normal' drinker but I also have a long family history of substance abuse and I know that 'no' is my best option. Happy to connect on here to support one another and young females who are alcohol-free.
My real struggle is definitely sticking to it...I always wonder why I can't casually or social drink or why when i start I couldn't stop. It's definitely a day by day thing. I was diagnosed bipolar at 16 so I have some manic tendencies.
