Checking in--Urge Surfing got me through the very hectic restaurant dinner that was totally different than my planned relaxing evening grilling at home w friends and family. Somehow water w lemon sufficed and I'm on to Day 5

Lol I love that quote - my cat only drinks water and seems fine with it.

I'm on board for the weekend!

Morning everyone,

I like to post early at the weekend because for so many years I had no experience of "early mornings" It is a time that I derive the most satisfaction from not drinking.

Tetra I agree with what others have said on the thread - the woman shows herself up more than she shows you up. There is always one isn't there?

I jogged through a narrow little street in my part of London (Shoreditch) called Blackall Street. Practically the whole length of it is covered in street art.I could post a pic but because the angle of it would be so narrow it wouldn't do it justice.

Good morning!

Hey Mr. B... Mamma B doing well?

Up and ready for the gym. Slept well but woke with work stuff in the head. I am planning a large inter team get together. My idea and my vision to get all the analysts in the organization together to focus on forward thinking topics that can help us all do our jobs better and produce better products. All eyes will be on the results. So I somehow get focus with these early morning clear visions of what I want to see come about.

Ha! Try doing that hungover? NOT!

Off to the gym batman! Zzzzzzzzzzzz

Good Morning All!
Got up at 2:45 EDT
Heard thumping noises coming
from SOHO across the hall
Goliath was restless.

But they are unable to comprehend life outside of their enclosure, and in the end they prefer to stick to the world they KNOW, even though life outside the cage would be a huge improvement. Kind of reminded me of my drinking days behind the doors of my apartment. And how I had no clue how to live my life as a sober adult. I simply could not comprehend a life without alcohol, and had no idea how to go about living outside the cage I'd created for myself.

This weekend, we gather here to celebrate our liberation from those cages. Whether it's mental, spiritual, or physical, we are finding that life outside of alcoholism is an amazing thing. For those still in that cage, or just stepping out...come join us. It's grand out here in SoberLand!
That bears repeating. Kind of like what I've intimated the past week or so. Live don't just exist.

You're killing me BigS, I don't know how you can live like that. It sounds horrible. With that Krispy Kreme temptation and all...

Hi weekenders. Good to see all of the newer faces aboard.
Have a good'n

Look up krispy kreme calendar.

Mamma B is doing really well, resilient in the face of the various discomforts nature is throwing her way!

Lunar your spider is just a picture on my phone but it still makes me feel the need to excape. Do you actually hold that thing, sorry I mean Goliath. A spider so big you can hear him moving around!

Happy sober Saturday morning everyone.

Heyoo - posting to wish everyone a happy Saturday morning!

Also, posting this to bump lunar's post off this front page....holy smokes, that spider is creepy man! My old roommate used to have a tarantula. It looks like Goliath is molting, or something. Hopefully that, and not pregnant. Good grief!

Looks like a couple catbirds are going to claim my katsura tree next to the deck. And I found my bird book last week. It was hidden under some old recipes notebooks in a basket.

I have an uncle in Australia who keeps a large but non bitey spider in his house, it keeps something called Funnel Web spiders away, they are much smaller but (my uncle says) can be fatal
