Smile Day 15 and loving sobriety :)

It is Day 15, and the longest I have ever made it sober. I have so much more time, and energy to put into being a good mother now. I spent time with her before, but I was only half their when I was drinking. I was to busy focusing on my next beer. I took her to ride her bike, and then we spent time picking flowers, and as we were doing that I thought about how much time I have wasted being wasted. But I won't dwell on that, because it will not happen again. Seeing how happy she was to have her mommy's full attention makes me know that this is how I want to live my life.

Thanks everybody. I really do not think I could have done it without the support I found here on SR.

That's a great accomplishment. Keep sobriety your main goal so that you can get more out of life- and your role as a parent- without drinking.

Great job amandamarie! Picking flowers with your daughter sounds like a much more fulfilling day than just another day drinking.
