Happy birthday Pouncer!
Did you see the hats in the audience at the Kentucky Derby? Wow, talk about hats.
OK - happy Monday everyone.

This couldn't be more true for me!!! If I go through the days that I have callen in sick over the past three years, I bet 80% of them would be Mondays, and not because of anything other than the edge-of-my-seat, heart-racing, don't-ask-me-a-question or transfer-me-a-call anxiety. And heaven forbid someone schedules a meeting! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Today is much better!

Hope you're feeling better, Ruby!

And happy birthday, Pouncer!

Seen a battle of the baristas today. Quite good fun. Probably had more caffeine than is good for me.

I'm with you on the Economist LB, it's the editorial anonymity I reckon. I have copies of Classic and Sports Car going back for years ( at least it is only a monthly)

When I got married back in 1987 my wife moved in to my flat. One of the first things she made me do was get rid of my "special interest" magazines. Women! (divorced now)

What is it about horse racing and ladies hats? They do it here too during royal Ascot

Glad you're feeling good Imabuleva/noexcuse

Bet you wish you hadn't gotten rid of them! Some of those are pretty collectible.

Those pesky Bon Appetit magazines! A large portion of my magazines are cooking magazines. Not That I've made anything from any of them.

Saoutchik, all wired on caffeine? The coffee festival sounds like it would be fun.

Bernie, all that hail! Wow. The poor plants. Hopefully you get to enjoy them before they got smashed.

Why not wear hats? They're fun apart from the practical aspect in winter. But woolen winter hats just don't have the same appeal.

DAMN!

Ruby, I agree with the hat wearing, just wondering why it's horse racing and not, for example Track and Field or Wrestling. Maybe there is a gap in the hat wearing market.

Thanks, I am actually looking forward to it. I am a late bloomer. The most wonderful thing is that I think that the last thing I would want to do would be to drink today. What a way to ruin a birthday...

Thank you all for being great friends through this adventure!

Hey ~

We got our Sports-specific Head Gear here! I'll let our Resident Wisconsinites explain this one.

I never ask a Lady her age, Pouncer. So, how old are you? Oh, OK, 40. I see it now. Hee hee... Have a Sober Happy!

Rain here much of the Week. Wading through Mountain House Sale Contract Issues after Smoked Salmon on Bagels for Brekkie. More/final Garage Pack-up trivia today in the Rain. A good day for that.

Most of the old Magazines 'round here have been Recycled while packing. There's a few keepers. Most all Recipes can be found on line, so that's how Da Wife does it. Our default TV choices are typically Cooking or House Remo Programs. Now that I've built one, watching other Folks slog through Remo'ing a House is good, sick Entertainment for us. Stick a Fork in my Azz cuz I'm done with all that.

Happy birthday Pouncer!

As for head gear, I think the Royals headgear needs to be helmets and boxing gloves this season. Man, it's been an interesting season so far, ha.

Today, I mowed. I was almost done when I realized the mower had a flat. Oh well, the area I missed is in the shade. I don't think it grows that fast anyway. ha

I'm trying to get motivated now to work out. I know once I start, Ill be fine and once I finish, I'll feel amazing. Monday Blahs, bah humbug.

Happy birthday Pouncer. 40 is the new 30.

Interesting hat there Mesa. I'd forgotten about the Cheese Heads

This man seems to know what's what when it comes to head gear

I didn't nab this stuff cuz I thought it might fight the Smoked Salmon-on-Bagel this morning.

However, it is reassuring to know that Kraft Foods is on it. Western Civilization is safe again.

Seems there is bacon everything lately. I wonder if it's real bacon. Or a "bacon flavored soy product."

Hmm,

I've been a bit of a pig in a poke this evening.
Noticed a punnet of strawberries on sale with "best before"date of today for 99p. I bought them and have just ate all 300 grams of them (with cream)

Disappointed with myself

Hope you are feeling better Ruby, Behan, Purpleknight and any other malady sufferer's
