Hi Lighter.
What you're going through sucks. I am going through similar things with my family and I only wish that there were Goblins involved so that I could have an intelligent conversation with someone.

What keeps me sane during these times is telling myself if I relapse over this (whatever "this" happens to be at the time), then there is nothing to keep me from using the next crisis as an excuse to avoid dealing with reality. I am big into reality these days.

Unfortunately my Grandmother died today at 11a.m. She'll be missed.

I feel sad but I don't think she'd want me to drink so I won't.

She was a good woman. During world war II she taught German Jewish children who had escaped to the UK. After that, she raised her children and then volunteered for four charities. As a quaker she believed in service to others, and always having a shortbread biscuit to share with anyone who came round.

She did important things with her life - something to be proud of. I'm sorry you lost her lighter.
