The morning after...

A night of not drinking.... The sunrise from the hotel window... Headed back home to the family free of shame, remorse, shakes and nausea.

Another business trip that held a few anxious moments - proven to be unnecessary anxiety.

Living this life I had always beloved required a guy to drink - learning over and over again how flawed that belief has been.

There is another, better life..... So much better.

Stay sober today, friends.

I have to travel often for work as well & one of the things I love(d) about it is being able to drink w/o having to try and hide it from my wife & kids. It's one of the things I'm afraid of now that I've made the decision for a sober life. Your post really helps me feel better about the next time I have to travel. Thank you.

I am with hedge on this one. I travel for work as well and am worried bc the people I travel with love to party. I have a 5 day trip coming up and I hope I can stay on track. I think I might use the medicine excuse.

There's more shame in failing yourself than lying to coworkers. You don't have to drink. You do have to beat this. Stay strong!!

Check out my post from Wednesday night 'it's like jumping off the high dive'.

I really recommend not using 'excuses'

Isn't it amazing when you look back with perspective and see, that what you feared so much wasn't so bad, after all.

Good job!

I travel for work as well and drinking was how I always coped with the jet lag.
My traveling coworkers also like to party.

I'm home for a while now and glad I started out here so I have some time to get my tools together before the next trip!

Good on ya! I definitely don't miss the hangover and anxiety. It really does feel great to feel normal.
