I Better Get My Butt Back Here
I Better Get My Butt Back Here
I haven't been checking in here much and posting at all.
I'm finding out my mind is the devil's playground and the further I get away from this place, the closer I get to a drink.
And this is after four years four months of sobriety.
I'm off to read some posts, and thank you all for being here.

Hi.
It’s so easy to lose focus especially when things are going well. This period is when so many relaps so easily with their thinking first. Then it’s relapse time and recovery??????????? Believe all you read about recovery after relapsing, it’s again misery time.
KEEP COMING!
BE WELL

Wow 4 years is awesome! I don't post as much as I'm still trying to navigate sobriety. I read posts every day though.
I agree i0aa2, it's easy to get complacent when things are going well.
Don't let thoughts of relapsing enter your mind Ghost. Imagine starting all over again

Just wish I didn't have to learn all these things in the school of hard knocks. : )

I had an old timer say once, "The longer you are sober the closer to a drink you are. " At the time I thought that was just about the dumbest thing I'd ever heard. Now after being sober for a while I see the wisdom of his words. SLIP Sobriety Loses Its Priority.
