Oh the fast food regret. I eat Arby's one in a blue moon and I'm very happy while eating it. Finish my extra large curly fries and ketchup then spend the rest of the day asking why I would eat that.

Solarion, those RW Blackbirds are pretty fiercely territorial - your AV captures that well. Birds are pretty feisty little things! I live in an area with lots of larger birds of prey like hawks, falcons, eagles, osprey, owls and Great Blue Heron. Those little birds have a big mission to protect their progeny. Those RW Blackbirds raise two to three clutches a year (which I just learned today )

Ken, I like the salsa with black-eyed peas instead of the black beans, too. Nom. I think the black beans are beautiful though, and probably more antioxidant-y That's one of my take-to-BBQ/parties dishes.

okay, I seem to be short tempered - or just annoyed easily these days...
the lady on the elliptical next to me just had to talk on her phone for almost a half hour... then with the stupid kindle device getting in a few minutes of reading while bobbing up and down...

yesterday we had an incident on the forum where someone was corrected for calling a lady 'sir' and now I see Peppermint Patty on the bus. Welcome to the weekender Sir.
someone gave up fast food since he gave up drinking but goes maybe once a month... moderation doesn't work for fast food either... I completely abstain.

This does sound kind of kinky though.. "You got Arby's all over me."
Maybe it has something to do with the 'horsey sauce' - don't ask don't tell I say.

Boy it's hard keeping up here...only been gone a few hours (gardening/tipping) and we're on 3 more pages. Feel out of breath just reading!

Olive...I am loving the nutri bullet...so speedy and looks quite sophisticated on my kitchen counter. I have the silver one. Will try your recipe next...cant swap you one yet cos i dont really know what i'm doing yet...shame it doesn't do anything with cake though...

Have just finished with a client and now off to the gym (though I don't feel like going) but have to keep it up. So see you all several pages down the line even tho I will only be out 2 hours!!

Looks delicious....except for cilantro. I am a cilantro hater. It's odd, but it tastes like a chemical cleaner or something like that may taste to me. That made it difficult on a trip to Costa Rica some time back, so I mostly drank way back then.

My wife made a fantastic shrimp and grits recipe this weekend. It came from the March 2015 issue of a magazine she takes called Southern Living and is called Shrimp 'n' Grits pie. It may be a southern taste, but I thought it was great.

Looks like a nice weekend going on here for many, if not don't give up!!! Stay close here and don't drink today.

Congrats on not drinking PeppermintPatty

Nice evening here now.

I have welded and welded and think I finally have the subframe done. Floor panels next week.

Chelsea confirmed as Premier League champions BOO!

I've just showered and shaved but still feel knackered. Probably due to getting up early for the fight. Early night I think.

Good salsa Weasel

Well, MISTER Gender-impaired Poster, here. I'll figger out all the Genders on here eventually...

I'm hangin' at the City House Dog Park yesterday when I get an e.mail from our Mountain House Realtor. Fan + Guano Event. Our Mountain House Buyers asked for a 'CO': Certificate of Occupancy. This proves the 1985 House was properly Permitted; Built; and Signed Off on as 'safe' to occupy by the County. The Buyer's Bank is likely asking for this, but everyone's seeing this Topic on HGTV Home Improvement/Horror Stories TV Shows. No problem. The Old Dude we bought if from in '96 over-built the Poopy out of it.

In what I hope won't turn into an Inter-Agency Turf Battle, the original Building Permit specifies a finished Basement. And, with 9' Ceilings; a Bath w/Hot Tub; and oodles of real Wood used, it is. BUT, the Assessor's Office doesn't have what they consider 'sufficient proof' of this square footage being signed-off on back then. Of course, we've been paying Property Taxes on that square footage fo evah. I assume none of that matters now. My Realtor tells me that one Droid working there is a World Class A-Hole. Lovely.

There's an after-the-fact 'Permit As Built' Process that will 'approve' whatever the original Old Dude built if it was not properly Permitted in '85. I think we're about to step into that County Department Quicksand. If we get some Electrical and/or Plumbing Inspector - separate Folks - on a day they had it out with Da Spouse, they can demand to rip open Walls to inspect Work quality. My hope/guess it that they'll see original 1985 Paneling; obvious Pro work on the Water Heater; and fastidious, Pro Electrical work at all the Lighting Fixtures and Outlets. Yah, right...

I promptly postponed all Out-of-Pocket items on the House Contract that was set to Close late this month. Septic Tank Pump-out. Well Testing/Certification. $1,200- Bay Window replacement, since the Double Pane Seal leaked at 9,050'- elevation. House Inspection on the Buyer's Nickel has been cancelled. That'll only result in more Guano for me to do, since A-R Fault Finding is how Inspectors generally earn their keep with Clients to pump up Word-of-Mouth recommendations. Fair enough. This ain't my first House Sale Rodeo.

Soooooo, we'll also keep prepping this City House for sale, and stay loosey-goosey on our Schedules. Somehow, all this Guano that would have set me off while Hammered doesn't even twerk my Richter Scale Meter anymore. See below the Winter view off the Deck. All were had by a good time over the past ~20 years p/t up there.

Brunch was Ahi Tuna Sashimi. Soy. Onion. Marmalade. White Rice. Hit the spot... Gotta get some Spray Paint, and re-do some Metal Railings here, and a cheesedick Room Divider I took out eons ago. Time to reinstall it with new Paint once all my A/V Gear gets moved out West, and this Joint also goes on the Block in this uber-hot Market.

Given the Life Guano I could be dealing with, I got it made in the shade. A lil Theme Music from Steve Winwood, Maestro...

Fromadistance, I get that soapy taste with cilantro, too. I don't like it much either, but a little bit in a salsa I can take. There is a small percentage of the population that gets that taste. Otherwise I would firmly believe I'm actually Hispanic in all things food, but alas not.

FaD and BiM... I use very little as I was always a cilantro hater. But now in the right balance I can take the flavor. And even learned to love it.

Still better than what asparagus can do to your P.

Great to hear you are up and getting better B!

I really hate cilantro, too--but my friend the natural chef makes crab-stuffed mushrooms that are to die for, and they contain a bit of cilantro.

"Cilantro," I said. "Gross."

"Trust me," he said.

I did. Just that little bit of chopped cilantro in the recipe really makes the other flavors pop!
