Day 1

Although I'm still hungover from Monday night/Tuesday morning. It was a rough one but it really made me take a look. I somehow stumbled on this site while looking for stories of terrible things other people did while drunk to make myself feel better, and thought maybe it's finally just time to stop.

I've never thought of myself as an alcoholic because I don't drink everyday, but I've always drank a lot. I was told I'm a problem drinker, but it seems just as bad to me! I've spent years drinking until I black out, drinking by myself and doing all sorts of things I regret and would never do sober. As soon as the hangover wears off I'm back at it. I've been pretty good the last few months but every once in a while it just gets really out of hand for a night or two, and I'm sick of it.

Anyways great to have some people who have been through the same thing and some support on here! I've done a few AA meetings before, but they just don't seem for me, but having some accountability (even if it's so strangers online!) seems like a helpful tool...

Good to meet you site! You're not alone - we all understand how you're feeling. Posting & reading here will help. Welcome. :)

Being a binge drinker is being an alcoholic in my opinion. I hope reading some of the stories on here will help you. I have only been on here 10 days, but it has helped me a lot to have people to talk to that understand. If you need someone to talk to always feel free to message me.

Day 3!

Still feeling a little foggy and extra fidgety in the mornings. Not sure if that's how I normally felt or not, but it seems to go away once I get focused and moving. Also made it through the grocery store without buying anything.

Breaking the habits are weird. I don't really want a drink until my day is over, but at the grocery store I just automatically went to the beer section without thinking about it haha

Instead I got myself a case of lemon perrier, my second favorite drink!

Day 4!

My AV was RAGING today, but thankfully I was at work and couldn't do anything about it.

Once I got home and realized I've been up since 6AM and hadn't eaten, it seemed to subside. I manage to defeat both that and the voice telling me to go to taco bell and came home to a nice healthy meal with some bubbly lemon water :)

Off to another night of crazy vivid dreams!
