So people will never reach out for help when their problems come up. The fact that you have speaks about who you are as a person! Relapse isn't a test on if your a good or bad person but the work you've put in and the coping skills you've acquired. I'm sure you have the ability to do this! We are all stronger then we think although it is easy to slip into negative thinking. Stay vigilant and great rewards will pass to you. I'm here for you!
I relapsed after several years of sobriety and I struggled to get sober again. I'd go a few weeks, then get drunk for a couple of days, then go a few weeks, and then get drunk again.
I was trying hard to get sober, but I was taking sobriety advice from a drunk, me!
Once I had that clarity of thought and realized that I couldn't do it alone I gave up and tried AA. I'm not a hardcore AA member, but between AA and this website I've managed to put together several years of sobriety.
