Day 6 and anxious ??

Day 6 has been hard, im anxious and snappy. My head hurts and ive found work difficult today as im really self absorbed....

I told me hubby and he said get a drink you deserve it and have one for me (hes working away). And I really could, I honestly really could but im going to enrol at the gym tonight and book onto yoga which I used to love before alcohol took the place of everthing good.
He honestly doesn't think I have a problem which I dont understand as he throws it at me every argument we have, how I always need a drink, how i cant do anything else on an evening, how expensive it is. Im confused but im not letting it be an excuse for a drink today !!!
Hope tomorrow is better.

Thanks for listening

I also had a hard time around day 6 ... I'm on day 8 right now ... Around day 6 the physical withdraw and cravings were mostly gone for me but it switched to more of a mental thing ... Was strange feeling sober and more healthy again for me and I was and still am very very tired ... But I've been getting used to that feeling more and more everyday and have been less irritable ... Drinking again will just make it worse

You are doing great. I am on day nine and it's getting better for me. I also practice yoga and I think your plan to get active sounds like a great idea.

There's also lots of books on addiction out there which I like to read in the evenings too. Keep posting :-)

The anxiety should pass. The craving will always be there, so your plan to join a gym, do yoga, etc. is a great idea. Hope that will take the place of a drink which only leads to more drinks which leads you to the $hit that makes you feel bad.

Thank you guys. I am so grateful for your advice and support. Its making a real difference for me to be able to tell others who are not judgemental and are on the path I am on.
