recovery from stimulants Hello wishing everyone is well. I haven't posted for a while. I was wondering if anyone had experience with recovering from stimulants addiction and how long they felt fatigued. I am seven months clean and I am still very fatigued. I am surprised how long the fatigue persists. |
I have no experience to share DD. I assume you've seen a Dr? I hope you'll feel more energy in due time :) D |
Hi. Can you elaborate on which stimulates? Coffee, prescription drugs, alcohol, hard drugs etc. Heck at times I feel my drug of choice for the day is good ice cream! BE WELL |

Hi. I've been drinking with phentermine for few years. I've quit both now. I needed the phen to make me seem alert from the drinking. I quit in the fall. But odd u asked this. Exhausted constantly. I've been thru a few serious health probs but the fatigue just hit me hard on Friday. I'm hoping to ignore it and push thru. Hoping it's just our bodies way of healing. Making us slow down. Don't have to get it ALL done today. I didn't for my walk this am. But I did go to the gym. And I stayed. I just lightened my load. I also ate more today. Even bread. Yikes. And some Girl Scout cookies for energy. |

Let's face it, Our bodies have a lot of healing to do after all of the mistreatment. MM |
Hey dame, I was prescribed Adderall as an adult and was on it for about 14 years. I decided to stop taking about 6 months ago with the blessing of my doc. Getting on a strict sleep vs awake schedule has helped me a ton. |
If you're not having medical problems-consider exercise. It sounds crazy, but you have to use energy to have it. Over 10 years ago I was exhausted for what seemed like six months. I finally went in and my iron was way low. It didn't even take a supplement-I ate iron rich foods and after a week and a half, I started to feel so much better. Now I know what my symptoms are and I just have to up my spinach and blueberry smoothies for a few weeks. I do recommend seeing a doctor. There are just so many things that it could be. Congratulations on being clean, that is amazing! |
