Welcome Sunday - cheer competition in Walt Disney World. ESPN is televising it. Very excited for my daughter and proud that I wasn't at the bar getting toasted this year. I think it made her feel better. And it was easier for me to be there for her as she is VERY nervous. She's only 13 on a team with older girls. It's a lot for a kid her age. Sobriety has its advantages.

HAF - great point about losing so much of those weekends to hangovers. I had a bad night's sleep (drank coffee in the evening) and woke up at 2.30am. Tossed and turned, got up for a while, etc. This morning I feel exhausted. BUT: no big deal. I can rest, take it easy, and do some things later in the day.

Back during my drinking days, I'd awake on Sunday mornings feeling a mess. I'd start regretting many things I'd done over the past couple nights, and start having anxiety about how to fix them. I'd also have never completed any of the big projects I had planned - instead my weekend would disappear in a drunken flash. Plus, I'd have the "Sunday Dread" of going to work the next day. Today, I'm merely just tired. Big deal!

Lots of gardening and organizing on the roof yesterday. I should be able to complete the project today if I head back to the nursery. Why don't I do it all at once? Trust me, this is the kind of project you have to do in chunks. The size of these potted plants are huge, there's a lot of dirt and a lot of cleanup. I added four new species yesterday and that was enough. Plus it's HOT outside. Best taken step-by-step, one project at a time. Seems to work for me in many ways!

Thoughts with those in Nepal. Having been through a few earthquakes down here I can only imagine the chaos if that type of destruction would follow city-wide.

You'll bottom out after you start adding it to your meals.

Indeed Weasel, the best reason to work out.

Pouncer, did see the London Marathon in person - it's only a 20 minute walk from my gaff. Very colourful. Retiring runner Paula Radcliffe was getting the biggest cheers (I had always thought that she was really tall but she isn't it's just that female marathon runners are mostly tiny)

Had Monkfish kebabs which are great plus make a small piece of monkfish, which is expensive go a long way. Banana leaves and coconut milk give an exotic touch

I can't go an hour without indulging in procrastination. It's one of my more endearing qualities.

Hey M. Allen Carr does have a way of looking at things huh? Go easy on yourself.

Now for that review. Just finished the movie. Was ok. Jennifer acted well though I always still saw her acting. If I had gone to see this is the movies I would have been bored. But at home I go to get up and move around. The story never really made you feel satisfied.

Oh well... What to do with the rest of my day now?

OK, enough about me...

Sprinkling Rain here today, and a low key day. The Chicken Wing Cookoff last night went well. Low attendance, but I had a great chat with a Pal's Daughter who's building her own simple Camp Trailer on a small Chassis. I steered her to a Website I give some Techno Advice on, and one where about any Topic she has is answered in full. Great stuff for us RV Geeks. She was stoked. She's been to 'Burning Man' 6 times, and we got into that. Plus, she's worked a Wings Carry-Out Joint, so we covered some fine points of Chicken Wing Haute Cuisine. I had hoped to engage a non-Drinker last night, so this worked out swimmingly.

The Drinking was quite subdued, and Da Wife abstained. This was no small miracle, since her Gal Pal In Sloshitude was there, and even driven by her Daughter. This was a Recipe for both to get hammered, but they didn't. This Gal Pal met some Guy on 'Match.com', and has been dropping weight like mad before they hook up. He's purportedly Overseas, so we'll see if it's fo real when he returns. Her Weight Loss Regimen dictates little Drinking. Small miracles count. We'll take it.

On tap for today is more Garage Packing-up for the pending House move. And, perhaps a trip to a different Dog Park that has a Roofed Picnic Table to avoid direct Rainfall. Not my Gig...

Inspired!

Daughter no 2 and 4 friends round they have half a bottle of vodka between them (lightweights). They are of to Bells of Shoreditch - a nightclub. Seems like she is in maximum socialising mode prior to flying to the States

Hey all,

I hope everyone is keeping well.

Beautiful sunshine today, broken by the odd heavy downfall. Spent the day cycling in the country side. Amazing scenery. Very tender posterior now! Planning a slow evening.
