Doing what i have to do Last night I was having bad cravings. I'm on a business trip and the day was stressful and I was around people all day. I was going to take a walk but had the feeling that I might stop somewhere - so I listened to myself and just stayed in - got room service and watched Netflix. After about 30 min in my room I felt better and it ended up being an ok night. Moral of the story. Listen to yourself and don't do anything to risk your sobriety. Today I feel much better and now will take some time alone if I need to. Thanks everyone I did check in last night here a lot and it helps to just read posts and "stay connected". |
great stuff teebee :) D |
Distraction is a great tool for our recovery tool box. Good for you making sure your sobriety comes first. |
Switching to a new environment is a good tool also. It works for 4-year-olds and alcoholics ;) |
hi Teebee. I certainly know that situation. I've sat in my room many nights and ordered room service or delivery! Something else that is an option - there are tons of Recovery speakers/videos on youtube to listen to... So glad you made it through! |
I'm so pleased for you! I think it also shows that the craving passes too. For some reason I've been so tempted this morning and it's now passed at last. Also, Netflix is amazing. Have you been watching Daredevil?! Incredible. |
Good stuff TeeBee |
Keep pushing through Teebee!! You're making Sobriety happen!! :You_Rock_ |
