Day 12 still working on change
These days haven't been a walk in the park but they haven't been a daunting force over me either (thus far)
I've been replaying my life and the 12 years of it I spent drinking off and on and learning to appreciate things that I've still been able to keep and maintain due to the support systems that I've been fortunate enough to have remain in my life (as much as I tried to push them away).
I don't think I really gave sobriety a chance because I approached it as symbol of being "damaged" and "desperate". Meetings, counselling, talks, interventions, etc.
For the first time I'm able to look in the mirror and say to myself "Man, you got some problems, make sure you keep working on them".
My drinking was a problem, and picking up one will be a problem. So...my plan tomorrow is to make sure whatever problems occur I'm gonna make sure drinking is not one of them.

No matter how hard life may get, drinking is never an option.
I have found that all else will work out in time
but, drinking never works for the good.
The times in sobriety when I forgot this, I had a drink in my hand before I knew it.
