simple question...going into 18 day rehab no cell phones allowed...really need it for work which does not trigger me at all..can I sneak it in? will I get kicked out?

At the establishments I am familiar with, it would be hard to sneak it in; and yes, you might get kicked out if it is found.

I don't know if this is possible, but what about talking to someone there to see if they could hold your phone, and be able to use it in their presence to make your job calls. John

They did a strip search when I went in. When out of detox and into the residence they let us have it (if you were good) for 2 hours in the evening. I had brought 2 phones and managed to retain 1 when they were distracted. I didn't get caught and probably wouldn't recommend it. Don't know if they'd throw you out. They really just don't want you to be distracted by the outside.

Work can wait. Your life depends on this. Come to think of it, your job does too. Many of us say "Ah, my drinking never affected my work..." but we're only one blackout, one rogue email to the wrong recipient, one dui from losing our jobs anyways.

Leave the cellphone at home.

If you're already planning on doing this your way and not following the rules, I am pretty worried for you. I want you to succeed. Please follow their program 101 percent. You're fighting for your life here.

just my opinion... no rehab worth it's salt will allow you to have a cell phone.

I agree 110%. The outside world is very stressful and the focus needs to be on recovery.
