it wasn't easy...
 

Big day 3 or 4 today not sure yesterday at work all I could think of was drinking and it's Friday get home put the kid to sleep and get drunk but I didn't . I went to the doctors Thursday found out I have pneumonia so taking an antibiotic that wouldent mix well with alcohol . But anyways of course on my way home I had car troubles I really really wanted to drink then but I didn't . When I got home I was still pretty mad but it went away . If I would of drank it wouldent of done nothing I still would of had car troubles Friday morning and a massive hang over . Going to try my best today to stay busy and not drinking hope everyone enjoys there weekend sober like I'm going to .

Stay close to SR. Maybe look up some recovery literature on the web and read that. The weekend would be a great milestone to get through.

Definitely rest up, keep yourself hydrated and relax! You don't need to pick up this weekend. 24 hours...that's all you have to work with :-)

What a huge difference it is being sober on a Saturday I've done so much today already . I took my son to the park I never do that because I'm always so hung over . And he seems so much happier with a sober me .

For sure your son would have enjoyed going to the park! I hope your pneumonia clears up quickly.

Hi foryou :). I'm really glad you avoided the temptation. The early days are very hard, but it does get easier as you get some sober time behind you. Your life is about to get so much better.
