Here's a place to start -- it's the sticky with tips on what to do when the cravings strike:

My own two cents: Whatever you do, don't pick up. The one thing -- and there is only one -- that alcohol does reliably well is make things worse.
Ride out the urges. You can do this.

60 days I'm on my way.
Yes today is 60 days for me and I'm really thankful. The last month has be very hard. I lost my only other employee that works in my department, so I have been maintaining a 156 bed Nursing Home by myself. I do have a candidate that may be starting soon, the sooner the better. I have been thinking about SR, but I have been so exhausted lately that I just crash in my bed, one time with all my clothes on, sober. Well just wanted to check in and say hello to the place that helped me get started on the right track.
Thank you.

Thank you.

OK.
Here are a few things I did when the going got tough:
1. took showers -- lots of them
2. forced myself to laugh -- start here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERrJwK7P4-k ("Lost" bloopers)
3. write a letter to yourself, reminding yourself of your value and your desire to live a life freed of the prison of booze
There are three things right off the bat. I'm guessing others can chime in, with some great thoughts, too.

I'll be back. I am going to an appt to have my legs waxed. I'd recommend that for urge-surfing, but ... well ... I guess it's not the manliest suggestion.
But here's something you need to remember: the cravings/urges WILL pass. Do whatever you can to distract yourself. Order a pizza. Brush your teeth. Stay on SR.
It's going to get easier. That I can tell you with the greatest sincerity and sureness.
