The importance of support

Hello SR

Hope all is well. I have been offline for a while due to a move, coaching little league and swim classes. I am thankful for SR as if I did not have SR, I would not be doing any of the above (i would still be consumed by my 20+years of daily drunkeness dictating my life). With that said complacency tends to lend itself to negative results. I let my guard down and had two slips over the last several months. Not good. Its funny once you taste sobriety and then see the effects of even two slip ups. My marriage has been harmonious until the slips as well as daily life. I have been back on track but i learned another valuable lesson...don't take your eye off the mission. Besides the slip ups life has improved 100 fold. So to everyone Struggling, it is worth it and yes you (and even me) can do it!

Yes, sober life is so much better. :) And having the support of SR helped me so much in early recovery. I am so grateful for this site. :)

'Don't take your eye off the mission' - I love it, Charlie. Good to hear you're doing well. :)

Always good to hear from you, Charlie. I'm so thankful I had you here by my side on that truly terrible last day 1 almost 8 months ago. Remember how we clung to each other & SR for dear life that first 24-48 hours? Without it I wouldn't have made it. Support is paramount in this fight.

Never, ever give up!
