Brand new but not new
Hello All. New to posting on the forum but not new to trying the recovery path. I have been drinking for past 7-8 years. Earlier it was very rare with only wine/zinfandel. Then it progressed and now its vodka. I live quite an OK life - not too bad not too good. However, recently drinking has started affecting my daily life.
Inspired by stories here I am joining this forum and hope to make new online friends with to make this journey together.

Hi Kgaito,
I am new here too - joined up yesterday and today is Day 2 for me. My aim is to sign on everyday and keep renewing my commitment. I honestly feel that this time it's different - I'm going to make a proper effort and do things the right way. I'm going to listen to advice and act on it. No more going it alone, thinking I know best and can defeat alcohol single-handedly. I've proved often enough that this isn't the case! Although I haven't got a set plan as yet I am in the process of making it. That act alone is helping me!
Good Luck and keep visiting!
