Bim, south of Deception Pass is one of my favorite go to beaches. I have to make a day of it because it take a couple of hours to get there, and then it takes quite a few hours to find just the right rocks. The dog chases the ball all day and eats so much sand in the process that he poops sand castles the next day. A nice afternoon drive down the island with a very tired pup and then a ferry ride home always tops off a perfect day. Must get up there soon for sure!

Home now and the week is done!!!
Big storm brewing, sprinkles and wind right now. They say it will be rainy all weekend, which is absolutely perfect for me! I shall paint and watch previously recorded television. Oh, there will be a dog walk in there I suppose.
Have not decided what to crock for dinner yet. A trip to the grocery tonight and I guess I will see what tickles my fancy.

Checking in this evening. SR chat meeting tonight. Thought I was going to be working on homework tonight, but due to some issues I brought up with the prof, the due date was moved to next Sunday.

Saoutchik-I agree with BigS that you have a nice viewpoint where you're at. I loved the angle of the sun and how it set off the scenery.

MM-very nice photo! Were you going towards Salida? I have a pic of those mountains when I was cycling out there, although there were some fires popping up.

Olive, I would love to have a dog again to take on these day trips. Maybe someday. I have two cats, it's all I'm allowed to have in my condo.

They don't enjoy days at the beach. Well, I've never really tried. Who knows?

Hi all! Saturday morning here, feeling a bit out of sorts but generally pretty good. Took my dog to dog park and going to plant some more herbs and chilis today. Meant to go to a friends party tonight where they'll be both drinking people and sober AA people, thought that would make me feel safe but still actually really anxious about it so may give it a miss

So glad it sounds like everyone's overcoming some challenges and pushing through events sober! You're all inspiring
And love seeing all the pictures, they're beautiful guys

That Horsey Butt County Road Pic is North over the Dam at Blue Mesa Rez, West of Gunnison. See my fav 'developed' Campsite below looking West over the Rez. Salida is about 45 miles behind me. Gunnison is ~10 miles behind me. It vies for the Coldest Town In The U.S., and faces off against some Town in the Dakotas or Minnesota for that Title. 40 & 50 lb. Lake Trout in there. Some Guy at the Dog Park gave me Fishing Tips today that LBrain will appreciate.

Put a Sucker Fish - alive or dead - on a small piece of Styrofoam on a separate Line to permit pulling it back it. Float it out with the hooked Sucker on it. Flip it off the Styro and let it sink. Wait for some Monster Laker to inhale it. Drag it in after a long fight on the proper heavy Line & Gear. I'm a Fish-from-Shore kinda Guy, but I might take a Tour Boat out some time.

Here's an interesting 'Unplugged' Version that's 20 years old. Keith Richards still looks 'well seasoned'. Note: My Laptop had not refreshed to see Trach's Post above. Variety is the spice, eh?

Tomorrows day 21. Checking in for sober weekend but today has been rough. Depression is really bad. Feel like fiancé doesn't get it at all. Just want extra love and attention from him since my world is completely upside down.. Yet, he goes on as if nothing happened... Would be so nice to just be normal again and be able to enjoy a beer.. But... Not gonna ruin that 3 week streak. Any thoughts on how to deal with this??

Sister and brother coming to within 3 hour drive, so we meeting half-way. Nice surprise. Then getting trained on Sunday routine at my new job. Not worried about early early service, because I won't be drinking. It is a big plus to be able to pack in a surprise visit and also a workday on a weekend. Thanks Sober friends. You were right! Life sober is better.

You're doing great, strangeangel. Yeh, others don't really understand what we go through just to not pick up a drink.

Have you told him that you would like an extra cuddle here and there? Was there tension between you when you were drinking? Sometimes it takes a while for our loved ones to trust us again.

Don't try that experiment of enjoying a beer. I tried that and it doesn't work.

Just stay busy, I try to remember the reasons that brought me here and why I decided to quit. That's always more than enough to change my mind.

Still in. Too tired to write. Taking a nap next. Was certainly tested but made it through. Took about half a dozen delaying tactics and Jedi mind tricks, plus memories of SR advice. OK, taking a nap.

OH dear god, I am watching "Married at First Sight"....and I'm watching it On Demand; meaning I chose this. I called my psychiatrist and the voice mail said, "If this is a true emergency, hang up and dial 911".

Do I dial? This is an emergency isn't it? I'm turning in my man card first thing tomorrow morning at the nearest Bed, Bath and Beyond.
