New comers - you'll get healthier!
Just posting to maybe help someone - maybe encourage someone.
I stopped drinking on Jan 1, 2015. My liver enzymes were elevated (I got turned down for life insurance). My blood pressure was up and I couldn't remember stuff (I even forgot my zip code once).
Now a bit over 3 months sober
My liver enzymes are within normal range
My BP is back down
My memory is getting better (still not perfect)
I sleep great and wake up refreshed - but still have some fatigue
So when the AV comes just think of how much better you'll feel soon - and you really do!!
Oh also. I don't think about drinking that much anymore. In the beginning I never thought I'd stop thinking about drinking - but you do!!
Hang in there people

Well done Teebee....Soberiety = Freedom. Alcohol was like dragging a ball & chain around with me. Just break the chain and leave the ball behind, never to join the broken links together again! Feels good... doesn't it?

thats awesome! I love hearing stuff like this. 10 days sober here. I already feel so much better. I also have some fatigue but at the same time i feel 100% better. I have some pain in my right side. twinges like where my liver is...strange. my skin looks healthier and the bloating in my stomach area seems better. I'm looking at the world with more feelings of hope and excitement. Spent 10 plus years in an alcohol soaked fog of self disgust and anxiety. Its a relief to finally feel like I'm living again.
