Can anyone help with what a meeting named this would entail? I am new to meetings but need to start going as part of my PHP (and because I'm a drunk). There is one right be me in a few hours titled this. Can't get a hold of anyone over where it is taking place. Thanks in advance.

A 12 & 12 meeting is one where they talk about the steps and traditions of AA. You could read up in the big book online before you go, but you would most certainly be welcome even if you don't.

I hope you go, I always like the 12x12 meetings.. There's actually a book called the 12 steps and 12 traditions.. Look for it, great reading, and not expensive..

Thanks to all. I finally did it and went to my first meeting tonight. It was really hard but met a good group of guys who helped me through it. First guy I met offered to go to meetings with me for the next 7 days. I've been putting it off for so long but it felt good.

Good for you. I came late to the party to say 12 & 12 is twelve steps, twelve traditions. I'm glad you went and had a good experience. There are a lot of meetings in the chicago metro area so you can get a wide variety. It's great that someone wants to show you around for the next week. Makes it easier to meet people and get a feel for it.
