AV overload today

Has my AV been on the red bull? Crazy cravings today, the little red devil on my shoulder whispering all sorts of rubbish. I managed though. Can come from nowhere. I see the illness side of things clearer now when I understand the ins and outs from being sober. It's utterly monstrous

Stay strong dude.

Everyone's different, but maybe try what I'm planning. One, buy a juicer and tons of berries & fruit. This way instead of having the same old alcohol drink, you can get a new flavour each time, plus it's extremely healthy for you.

And two, buy one of those stand up punching bags, and tape various words to it that you don't like. When the cravings hit, beat the hell out of the thing until your endorphines increase, and the cravings go away.

Regardless, all the best!

You did the right thing by coming here and posting. That's usually really helps me get some perspective on the craving and know that it will pass soon. So proud of you for being able to get outside of yourself and be objective.

Remember we are with you.

What a great idea I'm going to get a punch bag and some gloves!

Way to tell that "voice" where to go! It will just get weaker with time.

Well done for posting TomTom.

Given the long weekend and the number of days since you quit it's no suprise you have cravings

Hang in there -it does get better, not quickly, but slowly, by degrees

Tom AV is a Bitch!!!
Do not leave it convince you and drag you back to hell!!!

It will get better...
Just keep busy do all the things you enjoy or things you always wanted to do.
Make a bucket list and start!

XO

It's a good thing to remember that no matter how active the AV is or how loudly it shouts...it's effectively without power.

It needs our legs to take it to the bottle shop and our arms to carry the stuff home. It needs our hand to open the bottle and raise the glass to our lips.

If we refuse to do any of that - it's lost

It can shout and scream sure but like any 2yo it will tire itself out
