Sounds like you buy clothes for you "cut" weight MB.

I know it's crap being skint (I have been there). It can be a bit paralysing but I've read your thread and you are doing the right things. The main thing is getting a job - now you are Cpox free you will probably have more resolve to go out and get one

Don't despair MB

Thank you a lot for support friends.

Sorry for yesterday's epic rant. Just felt really desperate being thrown out of my stride by such "small potatoes", but, my, did they cause discomfort.

Today is another day. Another fight. Another journey.

Hi MB -

I have always been one of your fans and have a lot of admiration for the circumstances that you get through.

In times like these, I personally find a lot of value in taking things 'one day at a time'

One thing I missed in the thread - are finding that you engage (and continue to engage) in compulsive spending, or is it a practical matter of income not meeting expenses due to a string of mishaps? Sounds like DA might be focusing on the former while other orgs can be resources to help with the latter? Might that be why you are not getting out of the meetings what you hope for?

((((hugs)))))

Hi, Serene!

Thank you so much for giving me your support!

Answering your question - my issues are not due to compulsive spending, it's that that my income (and no income at the moment) doesn't meet expenses.

DA is actually for anyone who want to get out of debt. And as in AA stories of alcoholics are different, in DA "ways to debt" vary as well.

But, somehow I find it quite difficult to come to terms with the program. But I will stick to this for some time - too early to give up yet)

Trach - It was your words that brought that warrior back to life. Can't thank you enough!

Morning/evening, all)

Not so much change yet in financial success field of operations, but...

I am celebrating 2 years and a half or 30 months sober today!

Couldn't do this, along with many other achievements resulted from my decision to stay sober, without your support, friends!

Many, many congratulations, Midnight! 30 months on its own is fantastic, but given the extra challenges you've faced it's nothing less than amazing!

Badass or what??????

Ok, I think I am starting facing most "fun" now...

Today I called a bank to say that I will be probably late for 2-3 days with my loan payment. Actually all I wanted is just to say that I do remember about this, and I am aware about fees, but will be late.

I was shocked that the gal who was talking to me was very rude. She told me that "We don't care about your personal problems. The payment MUST be on your account on Monday". WTF?

I was both pissed off and humiliated. I've been paying the loan almost for 2 years and never been late before.

I checked then what other clients say about the bank and there were some awful stories .

I am trying to stay in the now, and focus on today, and so on. But all this, let's say, not very encouraging.

Looks like I am facing another war in my life. And, honestly, I am tired of wars.

Sorry. Just feel lost and scared at the moment.
