NOW, a lifetime of sobriety certainly outweighs a few hours of being drunk. It didn't happen overnight, but it didn't take forever, either. Stick with it folks. These early days and months are so hard, but little by little your life will become a lot more exciting and worthwhile.

Thank you, Big Sombrero. Your posts are always wise and encouraging. This is one of your finest and an encouraging message for all of us, wherever we are on this journey.

Big thanks from me for that post, I needed to read that today. I'm just over 50 days sober, my second longest period, and was starting to feel in the doldrums a bit. Your post moved me out of it.

Love the post! Thanks.

3 months sober and it's getting better.

Slowly finding out who I am, getting back to things I love: music, singing, the outdoors--those things are like therapy for me and just keep me going one day at a time :-)
