Good morning, All!
Somehow this is the 7th morning in a row without a hangover for me. I checked my beer log (which I started in January), I checked my wallet for receipts, but yep, this is the start of my second week of sober living.
SR certainly helps. Thanks!
Better get some breakfast in, then I might go to Goodwill for some gym shorts, and elsewhere for some fresh coffee. I have "Interstellar" checked out from Redbox, but not sure I want to give 3 hours of my life to a movie today. Might just take the loss and return it.
Happy Easter and a safe and joyous Passover to those who celebrate, and a fine and peaceful day to All!
"Sober is as sober does." -- Weasel, was that you who wrote that a few pages back? I had the same thought earlier this week.

that's great news solarian. Congrats on getting that first week.
So far two miracles happened here today.
1) The wife actually closed the bread wrapper and sealed it with the tie-wrap. I witnessed it!
2) The dishwasher worked just by pressing the start button on the first try.
Time for a shower and heading up north for the family ham dinner. I was told to bring along containers. Why not just get enough to eat? Why must "we" make enough for twenty people when we are only feeding 5 or 6?
Nice of the Kentucky players (not all) to walk off the court without shaking hands and congratulating the winners. I doubt the badgers can stay out of foul trouble against duke. It's next to impossible.
Enjoy your Easter Sunday, Passover week or just enjoy your Sunday in general.

Been a busy weekend here, haven't had much time to check the thread. Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter! As you have guessed, they take this holiday pretty seriously in these parts. Here's a nice photo I snapped of Judas yesterday, just hangin' around a local church...
ALSO - wanted to say GO BADGERS! What a game last night! I was going nuts watching the livestream on my laptop.
Tomorrow should be a national holiday. There will be MLB games aplenty as the season opens. The gutsy Minnesota Twins will face the evil Detroit Tigers in the afternoon, while the scrappy underdog Wisconsin Badgers will face hated Duke in the National Championship game at night. Sports fans, buckle your seat belts! Looking forward to a sober season!

Big S -- did they also have bloody guts on the ground under Judas? Just wondering ...
For breakfast, what was going to be a microwave omelette turned into something more like chicken cordon bleu Mexicana over collard greens and shiitake.
"Allez Cuisine!"

Nothing open. Sunny day. Went for a walk. Stopped into the place down the street. Jazz brunch. Live jazz music and a bowl of fish chowder. Nice to be out. Then home to cook my ham!!
Signed Balls
My Polish FIL in the Detroit 'Burbs used to take the Jockette Wife to Detroit Tiger Games in her Youf. Being a cute lil Thang, she got to the head of the line quickly when standing outside the Dugout to get Balls signed. So, she's got a Baseball signed by Al Kaline + Norm Cash, and their 1953 Rule Book. Also, an original Game Ticket.
Gordy Howe signed a Hockey Puck for her.
Important 'stuff', these Jockette Possessions!
FIL had to quit a promising Baseball Career in the local Farm League in order to work and support the Family. So, there was just a bit of [over]compensation re: exposing the Wee Polack to All Things Sports-related. This Lifelong interest had a lot to do with why she had both Knees replaced simultaneously ~2 years ago. I was her sotted Nurse at the time, but I did right by her anyway...

I was quite the lil tomgirl jockette also. I definitely get the knee thing! Had more broken bones back in the day than all 3 of my non-sports kids put together lol!

Weasel...that cup of chowder sounds really good! Have you been to Susan's Fish and Chips before? It's a hole in the wall(used to be an old garage) but don't let that fool you. It's so good!
My aunt and uncle used to live in Scarborough, ME and my family and myself would visit in the summers. Susan's was the place we would eat before going to Portland Sea Dog games. Oh gawd..how I miss it.
Well, I'm off to eat my Easter feast.

Twal... Don't know that place. I have been to Mary's fish market in NYC. They had to move the table out to allow me to sit. Then pushed it so I had no where to go. Best food ever! Lol
Back home. Lazy day. Nice day.
Open to movie suggestions!?! Out of Africa? Seven? Yeah... Not quite the same...
