Hop to it! Weekender Thread April 1 until....
Seriously Tetra. Today I was leafing through a quarterly cooking mag and came across another pic of a crepe. Suddenly I became desperately hungry and nothing but a crepe will do. Tomorrow I will try for brunch. I have to say Tetra that your life sounds fabulous. Revel in all the great things you have brought to you life! You have worked so hard.
Canguy...nice. Very nice job with 5 days. Keep pushing and hanging out on SR.
I think I just missed an entire page of you all!

The AV has been chatty and pushy all day. I need to come up with some better ammunition. It is telling me, 'just one...just one...echo..echo...echo.'
I keep telling it, 'then, what's next? Just one for old times' sake?' It is driving me up the wall. I am going back to my journals and through my cost/benefit analysis but it is still rough going.
Still sober.

Happy Easter Sunday everyone
I hope your feeling better Bimini it must have been disconcerting to say the least
You're right Ruby drugs/alcohol does turn us into babies at times especially in my case at least with my childish
Congratulations on 5 days Canguy (guess you must be close to 6 by now)
Well done for volunteering HaF
I have a BBQ to go to today - it's a family and friends type of BBQ with kids present so although there will be alcohol it shouldn't have a 'boozy' kind of feel to it. I have an exit strategy (Strategery) just in case but I reckon a modest test of sobriety will do my sober muscles some good.
I jogged northwards this am -too many roads to cross in that direction

Hey Bim hugs , come pull a chair up to SR and bathe in the power from the good people doing good here
Hey pouncer ,
the repetitive old AV is trying to get you to open that door a crack ,
one drink today two next week when you deserve it or one before dinner one after ,
month after that why are you leaving that little bit in the bottom of the bottle each night may as well finnish it off ….
then oops seems 1 bottle of wine isn't quite enough better buy two to be sure ,
get a third just incase …
your back to the same old same old , older and not as healthy …
the last time i gave up it started with just one for my health with dinner surely every sensible person could do that ( Doh ! ) … that was 2000 … i gave up in 2011 after gaining 5 stone and missing most of the good bits of my 20's & 30's
Morning all , coffee time , hope you all got through last night , not too long to go for you all in the USA , bank holiday monday here tomorrow, so come on us in europe lets stick with it ..

Hi, weekenders.
Happy Easter to all those who celebrating)
My mind is split between having a relaxing Sunday or starting to prepare a "script" how to talk to creditors next week.
Have a great day, all)

BIM.... That would upset me as well. Glad you are feeling better today! Thanks for sharing it with us. Sad.
Miss Ruby... Women of steel! I wish I could send you on an all expense paid trip to an island spa where you can be pampered and catered to for a whole week. But instead all I can send is more positive energy and digital hugs!
Gilmer... I love that you saw the tone of the thread and adjusted. That was sweet. Sometimes it difficult to keep up and a serious post can be followed by a funny post and the person posting the funny comment seems insensitive. We all know that's not the case but i always look for the last few posts if I cannot fully catch up before I post. That's sweet and intuitive of you!
As for this guy. The wonderful smells of the hycinths greeted me as I opened my bedroom door. The whole apart, net has a flowery smell. The sun is out. I face west so I see a sunset from my chair and not sunrises... I am up high and can see over all the trees and houses.
I slept late. Guilty pleasures until I start exercising again with this knee. Next week.
Good morning... Missing Trach this weekend. Forgetful kevin....

Happy Easter and happy Passover - whatever you celebrate is good. For me, I just love sundays. I plan to hike a little with the doggies and then dig some in a new area of my yard where I plan to plant veggies.
I hope you all are enjoying a holiday morning with no hangover.

An Easter Not On Your Keister
Ahem.
There once was a group of Weekenders
Who thought they would end all the Benders
Their Comments were wry
Their Brains did not fry
On more Booze, and they bent no more Fenders

A Happy Pass_outOver to those Sober types celebrating Passover! May your Pass-outs remain over, and you not feel Verklempt.
When the going gets tough, the tough sleep in.
