Gosh saoutchik! You sound like my mum. Keep the foot of the imaginary brake. It probably makes her nervous as well!

Back home from Augusta. Hour ride each way just to shop for ten minutes. Stopped to see tommy on my way back.

He has double pneumonia and they are pumping him several times a day with stuff. He had kidney and liver issues... He should recover but he is quite fragile looking. Only 57. He will be there at least another week. But his sense of humor is certainly not broken. I gave him a hard time.

Beautiful day but very windy. I kinda like windy days.

Starting to get warmer out so I decided to shaved my beard into a goatee. Shaved my head. I look like Heisenberg from breaking bad. Lol

Stay strong folks... I had a lot of thoughts of drinking this morning. I was always a morning afternoon drinker. But I get real joy from being sober. I love Saturday aftenoons.

saoutchick - -- reminds me of when I am a passenger in the wifemobile. I get cramps from pushing on the passenger break.. And using body language to avoid things.

hey weasey, glad your friend is doing better, are you going for a goatee or a van dyke?

I noticed I missed out the word exhaust (or muffler for you Statesiders).

I'm not being a craven Canguy it was like sitting next to Fangio

Fortunately LBrain distances being so much less here I didn't cramp up but I did tense up

My older daughter drives at normal speed but when she is at the wheel driving is about 4th on the list of things she is actually doing ie changing stations, using headset, rummaging in glove compartment

I'm probably a terrible passenger

The other day my husband said I was really uptight, but I think he was possessed by a demon while driving! A light 100 yds. away turned yellow. He was doing 70 without even a hint of slowing down!

Then another light was red and he suddenly floored it into the other lane! I definitely cried out that time and slammed down on the imaginary break! He said he wanted to make sure he beat other cars. Usually he's the "warped rotor" police!

I honestly don't think ever in 30 tears of marriage I have ever had one worry with him behind the wheel--then two aberrations in one night!

I'm usually very chill in the passenger seat--I was the one who sat in the car while all five of my kids learned to drive. I'm not known for being a backseat driver. Either he went temporarily insane or I did!

My husband is an aggressive driver, tailgater and has a look that kills. I'm too occupied with holding on and trying to avoid motion sickness to use my imaginary breaks.

Hey all been busy, today i helped a neighbor rebuild the stairs for there deck.
I forgot about how much drama family causes. So my sister was supposed to be back today. She calls me and says I won't be home until late tomorrow since she's going to a pig roast tonight. I told her ok no problem, there would be plenty of ham left over since i bought a 10 pound ham. She then says umm i don't eat ham its nasty. I asked her why are you at a pig roast then, she she says duh pig is different than ham. Epic facepalm

So any bets on how long its gonna take me to eat a 10 pound ham lol

that's funny 2wheel... I guess she doesn't eat HAMburgers either. It has to be made from ham.

The wife just woke up and greeted me with just a few kind words, "Take a shower." Maybe the combination of getting out and fishing, then working outside for a bit and running a 2 cycle blowing machine to finish off the cincer removal. I'm probably pretty ripe right now. But I may go back out fishing for about an hour or so - if the wind calms down in the next 30 minutes. Then it's shower time. She'll be working on another 'project' and I'll be doing house work. I took out deer steaks and the scallops I picked up a couple days ago.
Plus there is leftover talapia from yesterday - just remembered. But that is just a snack.

Funny Bmac.... I had two monsters today! First thing I have in the morning is a monster. Literally a pop a top just out of bed.

Soz... I was a bit bored... I did my walk the mall routine. It helps me to see people faces and get out a bit. The things you can hear when you are walking without intent. "Where is the midget?" Male voice.... "He's in the food court" female child voice.... I keep moving.

Coming from NYC originally I can tell the chic mallwear. The things kids go out in to be cool on a Saturday night. Then there is the Maine version. No disrespect but they tend to be just that bit off. Same flat brimmed basketball cap side cocked... Same all black outfit. Same funky sneakers. Just they can't seem to pull off gangsta quite the same. Sad really.

I stopped and bought myself an Easter card. One of the expensive felt cards. Put it up with my purple, pink and white hyacinths. The smells are amazing. Ahhh... Easter!

ICE CREAM time......

Home with my folks and my sister for the weekend. I won't go into too much detail...but these past few weeks I have felt the happiest I have been for a very, very very long time. I have a job and I know they are happy with me, and I am happy there. Dad says it shows in my face. My mom is such a negative person. I cannot let her drag me down now. No one is going to knock me off my perch. Anyway...

I went for two very long walks, also stopped off for my favourite banoffee pie at the local cafe...

There was a very funny piece in today's paper:

"Dating? It's a Piece of Cake!

"Plucking up the courage to chat to men on a night out was something that I struggled with until I descovered how to break the ice with my home-baking...

The most empowering moment of my life so far was the first time I stood in a bar in Los Angeles with a cake in my hands and realised a group of guys wanted to eat it. I'd baked a cherry cake for my best friend's birthday and taken it to a bar to celebrate. I was cutting slices for all our friends when I looked up and noticed that men across the room were staring at me and at my cake. It was a strange, foreign kind of adrenalin rush that I recognised as collective male attention. "Would you guys like some of my cake?" I might as well have asked if they wanted some sex. "You made this?" they asked, their mouths full. "Are you an angel?" With a cake in my hands I could talk to anyone, since it now it seemed like everyone was up for talking to me. I left the bar that night having spoken to more guys that night in an hour than I had in the whole of my undergraduate career"...

She did this for a year and wrote a book on it...I thought it was amusing

This correlates with my personal experience.

I've had much more marginal Sex than I have marginal Baked Goods.

Banoffee pie is an English dessert pie made from bananas, cream and toffee from boiled condensed milk, either on a pastry base or one made from crumbled biscuits and butter. Some versions of the recipe also include chocolate, coffee or both.

Its name is a portmanteau constructed from the words "banana" and "toffee". It is sometimes spelled "banoffi".
