Sorry Pouncer for bringing it up. But nutella is a magical restorative, second oy to ice cream. Or so I've heard.

Verte, I'm six feet tall. And I leap buildings in a single bound.

No make that five three and I leap Lego pieces that are strewn on the floor.

I was going to stay out of this nonsense, but come on. That would be like trying to keep flies off ****.
What do you want for your birthday? Nothing.
On second thought if I say nothing I'll get something dumb and useless. Okay, I need a music book and a strap. Or a couple CD's of certain music. CD's? Yeah I know, I'm still in the dark ages.

Last night I am surprised with an orchid. An orchid? Why not a puppy dog instead.
So hear I sit dressed to go to the gym but I am being kept upstairs because of some hidden secret project going on. It better be two 28 year olds jumping out of a cake or something. On even year birthdays I ask for two hot babes half my age. When I was 50 - two 25 yr olds.
It's MY birthday! Get me what I want. My second birthday without drinking since - 40 years?

Lol i have no problem with anyone doing anything.

This is the newcomers area and however people find the support they need to get through is fine by me . If this thread helps serve that purpose then thats more than i expected from it .

I gave up being supreme controller of the universe when i gave up drinking.

In technical terms the locus of control is outside of me , there is actually very little i have to do or worry about with respect to anything or everything. I'm free and thats cool

Happy Birthday Brain!!!! May your dreams come true.

Mec, I like the supreme controller of the universe idea. I'm trying to let go myself. I can't fix, manage or control everything and really, it's easier with better outcomes if I don't.

At work. Bleah. Busy afternoon today as my mom just texted that a friend's mother died. She was 96 so a nice long life.

HaF, good choices! I'm putting in a plug as well for almond butter. I love it on raisin toast. Which I'm out of so I'll be going to the store too.

So my present turns out to be a big balloon attached to my orchid and 100 to spend on amazon. No girls jumping out of a cake. Again.

When I left for gym I asked if I should pick up anything. Why yes, get a cake or something sweet for your birthday. Ha - I'm right on it. She is so thoughtful... A lot of decadence in the display case. And I noticed a dozen cupcakes each one decorated with a peep. And some peep cakes. I don't know how to transfer photos from my phone camera so no pics. But I got me a cherry pie and 1/2 gal of breyers vanilla ice cream ($2). I saw they had legs of lamb on sale for 3.99/lb. And boneless lamb leg for 4.99. I think it will be stir fry night here at the palace. As usual, I get to chose what I am cooking.
She hasn't used the stove in well over a year.
Thanks for the birthday wishes, I was gonna keep it a secret but I had to share the laugh with someone about my new orchid Time to go shopping on amazon and get the music I need...

I always make sure to share my birthday Brain. I'm a big kid at heart. Do you have a smartphone? You can pull up tinypic on that and upload from the pics on your phone. That's how I do it. If... You can copy and paste from phone.

Weas, I like hanging out on weekenders during the week. Kind of like stopping by for a cup of coffee and visiting for a bit.

Work not so busy today but plenty to keep me occupied.

Happy BDay, LB.

I am so happy that you are a pie and ice cream guy. I have peach pie and ice cream on my Bday. This year I am going to attempt to have it only during my Bday week, not the entire month before and the entire month after.

Sorry about the girls being subbed for an orchid. Who does that????

I guess wives do.
