Signed up with outpatient rehab today

Signed up for outpatient today. Its a 4 to 6 month program/could be longer
( depending on progress, and passing random test) and will start next week. Two times a week to begin with, again this time can be adjusted depending on individual needs.

Interestingly, since this facility is in Reno and we have gaming here, they were very concerned about my addiction to gambling too. So I was told much of my private one on one time will be spent on those issues.

I am very, very, optimistic this go around. I feel as though something has clicked this time and I am motivated to succeed ( this is the real difference) and go about life in a sober manner.

So for now I am feeling good about taking the proper steps. I was given a referral and it was requested that I attend at least one Smart Recovery meeting to see if its a fit for me.

I most excited about the coccurring classes I am going to be attending. For once I will access to a health care professional with a psychiatric background in both addiction and mental illness and a support group with other going through the same thing.

Thanks for reading, everyone have a good day

That's wonderful news, TDG. I am really glad that you have this opportunity to help you find long-term sobriety and recovery.

Give it all you've got, and then some.

Rooting for you.

Good news! Focus on the journey, not the destination.

I wish you well with this Jeremy. I hope you'll chart your progress for others who might like to know more about outpatient.

good luck Jeremy. Work hard when you are there. no one can make this change for you but you. I've got confidence that you can make this experience a positive and lasting one.

Best of luck.

Thank you all, I am going to make this a positive experience and really throw myself in this time. I am doing all I can do to stay vested in moving forward and really believe I have a program I can work. I got to a Smart Recovery meeting liked it, and plan on doing that weekly as well still interspersed with AA meetings here and there.
