Sometimes I get frustrated in the "Newcomers" section because of all the relapse and coming back threads. Kinda gets me down sometimes. In those cases, I limit my time to the "alcoholism" section. Seems to be less relapse issues and more "how do I deal with life" issues.

Just *stop* it already (not). You have me pegged completely. I am going to take a break from this site, because as much as I love the people and community, I take things too much to heart. I absolutely don't think that I am more empathic than many, but I do tend to internalize things. I am a teacher and when I deal with young people in environments in which they have no voice...I sometimes fall apart emotionally. I have found myself crying on-and-off many weekends because of something I've perceived about a student that I felt was incredibly worrisome. I wasn't helping anyone by this angst, but...
