You know, you could always make SR your "home group", stay abstinent one day at a time, share with others and also work the steps.

here is something i thought of later, something that happened also in my group:
a few times, another "old non-fit" came in. guess what? they weren't the only one. i was already there. guess what? now sometimes there are four "elders", with different clothes, long careers or jobs or different values or bottoms or ...one of the benefits to me staying has been less non-identification and more diversity in the group as a whole.
i sound preachy, but don't mean to.
if you value the program and what it gives you and it fills you, then participate with your misgivings and whatever feelings you have. if wearing the suit is part of the issue you don't like, then change in the washroom at work before you leave.
