Hi folks- remember me?
Hello. I am Mikefreak, & I was a regular on this sit Round 4-5 years ago. At one point I had sober time of two years & ten months....THEN guess what the hell happened?!!!
I've heard that the first relapse after being sober for awhile is worse than getting sober in the first place. I would have to agree. TOTALED my wife's car on booze and kilonopins, landing on its side. I could have killed someone ( not to mention myself), though I got a broken eye socket for all my trouble.when I got out of jail, my wife,understandably threw me out of the house- for 15 cold, hellish, hungry days.
Once word got around NO ONE would lift a finger to help me (not that I deserved it).i'll get around All the booze-pill fueled insanity in the coming weeks, but I wanted to warn you going back is NOT WORTH It. Talk about rock bottom! I wish to come back to sober recovery & get it together THIS TIME. I have about a month in & you'll be hearing from me ..A LOT.

Welcome back Mike, sounds like a tough time. My relapse was pretty bad too, not worse than getting sober the first time I don't think but I think I felt worse having got some sober time under my belt..
A sober day is yours to keep no matter what comes before or after.

I sure do remember you Mike. Sorry you've been through a nightmare, but happy you found your way back to us. I had that experience too. I'd been sober a few years and started up again. I almost didn't make it back. Never again.
