90 Days Sober
Yep, 3 months today. Thats the goal I set myself after reading here for a few days so there's that. It's the longest I have been sober since I was 12, which is no longer kinda cool actually.
Obviously I wasn't an all day every day drinker at the age but was going out to school disco's and stuff. My best friend had started stealing bits of hash from his older siblings, you get the idea.
Any time away from parents was an excuse to drink or do drugs, and that increased exponentially as the years went on. I used to sneak a can out or a swig of whatever if they were on the sauce also.
But 12 is far too young looking back. I was the youngest in my class at school also. I don't really have any advice for anyone, it's early days yet but I can say that I don't have any real inclination to drink now.
And I have had plenty of stressors, but I just don't think of it very often. So thanks for all the information, advice, support and banter the past few months. It's been invaluable. I suppose an aul jingle is in order...
