Other than quitting drinking almost two years ago, seeing a psychiatrist and getting on anti-depressants and also anti-anxiety meds is the best thing I have done for myself in ages.

The Psych and a separate counselor told me, based on what I told them, I had likely been depressed for a long time. I was, I know, and tried to medicate with booze.

Glad it worked for you AO!

((((AO))). I'm so happy for you! I took that for a while. Didn't work, but it's the one I hear the most positives about!

Love from Lenina

Glad to hear it, AO! I am also using the same medication and it works for me as well. Took a while for me (like 1.5 months) to feel the benefits but it's been a life-changer. Good for you!

Good for you! No shame in it at all. I've been on a few different ADs at different times and they have literally pulled me out of very dark places. There is no sense in needless suffering.
